Daniel Weix is an accomplished academic currently serving as a Professor and Associate Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison since July 2017. Prior to this role, Daniel held positions as an Associate Professor and Assistant Professor at the University of Rochester from July 2008 to June 2017. Daniel's early career includes a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from August 2006 to May 2008 and another Postdoctoral Fellowship at Yale University from June 2005 to July 2006, both focusing on the development of new nucleophiles for Ir-catalyzed allylic substitution chemistry under the mentorship of John F. Hartwig. Academically, Daniel holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley (2000-2005) and a BA in Chemistry from Columbia University (1996-2000).
