Sarah Whitehead is a seasoned finance professional currently serving as Finance Director at HM Treasury since May 2024 and as a Non-Executive Director on the Finance and Resources Committee at the University of Roehampton since February 2022. Previously, Sarah held roles including Specialist Consultant at PwC UK, Finance Director at the Education and Skills Funding Agency, and Deputy Director Financial Management at the Department for Education, among others. Demonstrated expertise includes financial management of substantial budgets, corporate governance, and advisory roles to high-level executives. Sarah is also the former Chair of the Women in Finance Network, dedicated to empowering women in finance. Academic qualifications include a BSc (Hons) in Business Economics from the University of Salford and CGMA accreditation from The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
