Melanie Souto is an experienced Trust & Estates Manager at URI Foundation & Alumni Engagement since October 2021, responsible for managing trust and estate administrations and overseeing the charitable gift annuity program. Prior to this role, Melanie served as a Trusts & Estates Case Manager at Chisholm Chisholm & Kilpatrick LTD from June 2016 to October 2021, handling a portfolio of 200-250 cases to ensure accuracy and expedite charitable distributions for non-profit clients. Melanie also worked as a Litigation Paralegal, assisting attorneys with cases related to disability insurance benefits under ERISA. Melanie holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, earned in 2016, and a high school diploma from Joseph Case High School, awarded in 2012.
