Lizann Boyle Rode serves as the Associate Vice President and Associate University Secretary at the University of Pennsylvania since July 2019, overseeing university governance and enhancing Trustee and Advisor engagement. Prior to this role, Lizann was Executive Director of Alumni Relations & Development Officer at The Wharton School from May 2012 to July 2019, where engagement strategies for a global alumni network were developed and executed. Earlier experience includes roles as Director of External Relations and Executive Director of the CHASS Foundation at Springside Chestnut Hill Academy, focusing on collaborative initiatives between adjacent schools, and as a Partner at O'Brien & Ryan, LLP, specializing in insurance defense litigation. Lizann holds a B.A. in American Government from Georgetown University and a J.D. from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law.
