Nakia Backers serves as the Senior Financial Operations Manager at Penn Medicine, University of Pennsylvania Health System, since June 2023. Prior to this role, Nakia held the position of Senior Business Manager at The Wharton School from February 2016 to June 2023, where responsibilities included budget management, expenditure analysis, and forecasting to support strategic and revenue goals, as well as overseeing financial, human resources, and business operations for a department focused on fundraising and alumni relations. Nakia holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Rosemont College and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
