Simone Merlini is a seasoned technology leader with extensive expertise in cloud computing and IT infrastructure. As CEO, CTO, and co-founder of beSharp since 2011, Merlini has led the company to become an AWS Premier Consulting Partner, facilitating numerous complex cloud projects for global clients including Q8, General Electric, and Roche. In addition to these roles, Merlini co-founded Noovolari in 2022 and has been a contract professor at Università di Pavia since 2010, teaching courses in Cloud Computing, Software Engineering, and Informatics. Merlini's contributions to the AWS community are recognized through roles as an AWS Hero and AWS Ambassador, while also organizing events as an organizer for the AWS User Group in Italy. Earlier career experience includes consulting, project management, and IT management, with a strong academic background holding both a Master's degree and a PhD in Computer Engineering from Università di Pavia.
