Marie Joubert is a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Nottingham since June 2019, with prior experience as a Research Coordinator for the National Network for Excellence in Mathematics at Swansea University from September 2017 to May 2019, and as a Senior Research Fellow and Principal Investigator at the African Institute of Mathematical Sciences from June 2014 to November 2016. Educational contributions include leading projects focused on formative assessment in mathematics education, developing toolkits for teachers, and conducting extensive research on classroom practices. Earlier roles include Senior Research Fellow positions at the University of Nottingham and University of Bristol, as well as teaching ICT and computing at The Red Maids' School and mathematics and computing at Fortismere School. Marie Joubert holds a PhD in Mathematics Education from the University of Bristol and degrees from the University of Cape Town and Rhodes University.
