Stephanie Ridley currently serves as the Director of Development for Principal Gifts at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a position held since June 2024. Previously, Stephanie was the Director of Advancement at the Morehead Planetarium and Science Center from November 2021 to June 2024 and spent over a decade in various development roles at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, including Director of Development and External Affairs and Assistant Director of Policy and Development. Earlier career experience includes positions as a Social Research Associate at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a Graduate Research Assistant at Teachers College, Columbia University, a Youth Specialist with the Missouri Department of Social Services, and a Mental Health Technician at KVC Health Systems. Stephanie holds a Master of Education and a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Developmental Psychology from Duke University, where also completed a Secondary Teacher Preparation Program in Social Studies.
