Lizzie McKenna Cozart, CFRE, currently serves as the Director of Philanthropy for Mountain Area Health Education Center (MAHEC) and as the Regional Development Officer for UNC-Chapel Hill, both positions held since January 2019. In these roles, Cozart focuses on building philanthropic support, particularly for the "UNC Health Sciences at MAHEC" partnership, aimed at strengthening the healthcare workforce in western North Carolina. Previously, Cozart held various fundraising and development positions at Mission Health from 2015 to 2019, where the Department of Philanthropy was recognized as a high performer by the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy. Cozart's early career involved roles at UNC-Chapel Hill from 2009 to 2015 and financial analyst positions at leading firms such as Goldman Sachs and SAC Capital. Cozart graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a double BA in History and Psychology in 2007.
