Patrick O. Smith, PhD, ABPP, serves as the Chief Faculty Affairs Officer at the University of Mississippi Medical Center and holds the position of Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine, with both roles beginning in May 2014 and July 2009, respectively. In addition, Patrick Smith has been a faculty member in the Department of Family Medicine since August 1995, progressing through the ranks from Assistant Professor to Professor. Previously, Patrick Smith was a state representative for the American Psychological Association from 1999 to 2000 and worked as the Trauma Recovery Program Inpatient Coordinator and Staff Psychologist at Jackson Veterans Affairs Medical Center from 1991 to 1995. Education includes a PhD in Psychology from the University of Mississippi and a BS in Psychology from Millsaps College.
