Jeffrey Yost is an established academic and researcher specializing in the history of science, technology, and medicine. Serving as the CBI Director and Research Professor at the University of Minnesota since September 1998, Jeffrey holds additional roles as the CBI Associate Director and HSTM Faculty. In January 2022, Jeffrey became Principal at Blockchain and Society, contributing expertise in the intersection of digital technology and society. Jeffrey's previous experience includes positions such as Associate Director at the Charles Babbage Institute, Researcher at the Center for Regional Economic Issues, Consulting Historian at The Winthrop Group, and Museum Researcher at the Dittrick Museum of Medical History. Educationally, Jeffrey has a Ph.D. in the History of Technology and Science from Case Western Reserve University, along with a Bachelor of Arts, Magna Cum Laude, from Macalester College, an MBA from the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management, and a Master of Arts in the same field from Case Western Reserve University.
