Grace Barrand is a seasoned professional in the field of cultural materials conservation and research management, currently serving as Faculty Research Manager (Acting) and previously holding various research development roles at the University of Melbourne since June 2021. Grace has also contributed to the Australian Institute for the Conservation of Cultural Material as Vice President from October 2020 to October 2023 and worked at the Art Gallery NSW as Exhibitions and Loans Conservator and Frames Conservator from November 2018 to June 2021. Additional experience includes a role as Conservator for the Biennale of Sydney and Heritage Project Coordinator at the International Specialised Skills Institute. Grace holds a Master’s degree in Cultural Materials Conservation and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Melbourne.
