Georgina Dodge

Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion at University of Maryland

Georgina Dodge currently serves as the Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion at the University of Maryland, a position held since June 2019. Prior to this role, Dodge was the Associate Provost for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Bucknell University from August 2017 to May 2019, and the Chief Diversity Officer & Associate Vice President at the University of Iowa from July 2010 to August 2017. Earlier experience includes working as the Assistant Vice Provost at The Ohio State University from September 1996 to July 2010, where responsibilities included promoting collaboration among university departments on diversity issues and analyzing diversity plans. Additionally, Dodge has experience as the Director of the Community Extension Center, facilitating outreach to historic African American communities, and as an Assistant Professor in the Department of English, where teaching focused on multiracial literatures and immigrant autobiography. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. and MA in English from UCLA, a BA in English from UC Irvine, and an AA in General Studies from Golden West College.
