Athar Hussain Mutahari is the Founder and CEO of Genomics & Informatics Lab, a position held since September 2020, and serves as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Management and Technology since September 2019, focusing on areas such as Genomics, Meta genomics, and Bioinformatics. Additionally, Athar is an expert with BioExpert Network since August 2023 and previously worked as a Research Assistant at NIBGE, Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission from September 2018 to September 2019, as well as a Research Student at BioEnergy Research Center from February 2014 to July 2016. Athar holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biotechnology/Genomics from Pakistan Institute of Engineering & Applied Sciences, expected to complete in March 2024, a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Bioinformatics/Biotechnology from the same institution completed in 2018, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Bioinformatics from Government College University, Faisalabad, obtained in 2016.
