Tara McCarthy is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in finance, grants management, and consulting. Currently serving as Principal at McCarthy's Management, LLC, a small, woman-owned consulting business specializing in event planning, grants management, project management, and publications, Tara also holds the position of Financial Services Manager at the Advanced Structures and Composites Center at the University of Maine. In this role, Tara leads a team of over 10 employees in managing finances for the largest research institution in the state. Previous experience includes serving as Grants Manager for the State of Maine, overseeing significant federal funding, and holding various positions that involved compensation management and contract administration. Tara earned a Bachelor's degree in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Florida and is currently pursuing an MBA in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management at the University of Maine.
