Dr. Parminder Singh Sandhu

Programme Lead For Applied Chemical Sciences At Global And Lifelong Learning (gall) at University of Kent

Dr. Parminder Singh Sandhu has a diverse range of work experience in the field of applied chemical sciences and education. Dr. Parminder Singh is currently the Programme Lead for Applied Chemical Sciences at Global and Lifelong Learning (GaLL) at the University of Kent, where they also work as a Lecturer in the same field. Prior to this, they worked as a Chemistry Teacher at Tutor Hunt U.K., teaching students at A2, degree, and postgraduate levels. Dr. Parminder Singh also served as a Lecturer in Chemistry at Liverpool John Moores University, teaching undergraduate and foundation students, including international students. In addition, Dr. Sandhu has worked as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at Aston University, focused on research projects. Dr. Parminder Singh has gained teaching experience and worked as a Senior Tutor at Oxford Tutorial College and as an Assistant Professor at Eternal University in India. Early on in their career, they worked as a Research Assistant at Coventry University on a project sponsored by the European Union. Dr. Sandhu's educational background includes a Summer School Trainee position at the University of Regensburg and a Summer School Fellowship at the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3) at the University of Manchester. Dr. Parminder Singh has also contributed to the Sutton Trust Summer School, supporting students' independent study skills and preparation for higher education.

Dr. Parminder Singh Sandhu has a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education from Aston University, which they obtained from 2015 to 2016. Dr. Parminder Singh holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Synthetic Organic Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, completed in 2009. Dr. Sandhu also has a Fellowship in Higher Education Academy (HEA) from the Higher Education Academy U.K., earned in 2016. Dr. Parminder Singh completed an Integrated Master program in Chemistry with a specialization in Computational Chemistry from Guru Nanak Dev University, India. Additionally, Dr. Sandhu has received training as a Master degree trainee in Nuclear Chemistry from the Inter University Consortium, Department of Atomic Energy, Calcutta, India. Dr. Parminder Singh possesses an A Level or equivalent qualification from the Punjab School Education Board.
