Jason Wittmer, MD, FCCP is a highly experienced physician specializing in Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine. Since February 2019, Jason has served as the Section Chief for Pulmonary & Sleep Medicine at Broadlawns Medical Center, providing both outpatient consultative care and inpatient critical care services. Concurrently, Jason holds the position of Clinical Adjunct Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine, where clinical teaching is conducted for medical students and residents. Additionally, Jason has been the Medical Director of the Respiratory Therapy and Sleep Disorder Center at Pella Regional Health Center since January 2009 and previously served as the Medical Director for Select Specialty Hospital in Des Moines. Jason has also held several significant roles at Mercy Medical Center - Des Moines and Chest, Infectious Disease and Critical Care Associates, PC. Educationally, Jason completed a fellowship in Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine and a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Kansas Medical Center, where an MD in Medicine and a BA in Chemistry were also obtained.
