John Han has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. John started their career as a Programmer and Database Administrator at the University of Hawaii Foundation in 1998. John then worked as a Data Warehouse Developer at Electronic Arts from 2000 to 2002. Returning to the University of Hawaii Foundation, they held roles as Director of Data & Technology Services from 2002 to 2011, Associate VP of Data & Technology Services from 2011 to 2017, and Associate VP of Advancement Services in 2017. In 2017, they joined ABC Stores as an Assistant Controller until 2019. Currently, they serve as the Chief Operating Officer and CFO at the University of Hawaii Foundation since May 2021, after holding the position of Chief Operating Officer from 2019 to 2021.

John Han earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Hawai'i - Shidler College of Business in 2010.
