Eric Spina currently serves as the President of the University of Dayton, a position held since July 2016. Prior to this role, Eric Spina had a distinguished career at Syracuse University from August 1988 to June 2016, where contributions included serving as a tenured Professor of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering and as Vice Chancellor & Provost, the institution's chief academic officer. Eric Spina earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
