Mostafa Farrokhabadi is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Calgary and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Waterloo, while simultaneously serving as an Associate Editor for multiple journals including IEEE Transactions on Smart Grid and IEEE DataPort. Mostafa holds extensive experience in both academia and industry, having held various technical leadership roles at BluWave-ai, including Vice President of Technology and Senior Smart Grid/AI Scientist. Mostafa's academic journey culminated in a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, following a Master's from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's from Amirkabir University of Technology. Additionally, Mostafa has contributed to the IEEE Ottawa Section in multiple leadership capacities and has engaged in research initiatives, including modeling battery energy storage systems and working on hybrid microgrid systems at Hatch.
