David F. J. Campbell serves as an Associate Professor (Privatdozent) at Universität Wien and Universität für Weiterbildung Krems, focusing on innovation research, quality of democracy, and higher education governance. At the University of Applied Arts Vienna, Campbell works as a Quality Expert, contributing to quality enhancement initiatives. Additionally, Campbell holds editorial responsibility as Chief Associate Editor for the International Journal of Social Ecology and Sustainable Development and directs the non-profit Ranking Global Democracy, which emphasizes the interconnection of knowledge and innovation. Previous roles include Research Fellow at Alpen Adria Universität and Associate Lecturer at the Elliott School of International Affairs.
