Paul Ortiz, MS, FACHE, is Vice President of Business and Service Line Development of Penn Medicine Princeton Health. Mr. Ortiz provides overall leadership for the service line strategy of Penn Medicine Princeton Health and ensures implementation of service line plans, identification of new business and growth opportunities, as well as serving as a critical linkage between strategy, operations and physician alignment.
Mr. Ortiz’s responsibilities include serving as the administrative leader for the planning and development of the Penn Medicine Cancer Center at Princeton Health and supporting the ambulatory facility strategy across central New Jersey. He is also the liaison with Penn Medicine's corporate business development team.
Mr. Ortiz has extensive experience in cancer services and clinical operations including physician relations, staff and vendor relationships, budget development, process improvement, community service, organizational development, and both inpatient and outpatient services.
Before joining Princeton Health, Mr. Ortiz spent 17 years at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, an NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center, where he held a range of leadership positions.
His previous leadership roles include Director of Radiation Oncology at Methodist Hospital, a four-hospital health care system in Houston. During his tenure at Methodist, Mr. Ortiz initiated and led construction of two comprehensive cancer centers. He also served as Regional Vice President of Cancer Services at the Sarah Cannon Cancer Center for St. David's Healthcare and Vice President for Cancer Services at Community Medical Centers in Fresno, California. In each of these roles, Mr. Ortiz worked closely with physicians and staff to drive business development.
A fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Mr. Ortiz earned his master’s degree from Texas Woman’s University and his bachelor’s degree from Stephen F. Austin State University.
