Silvia Groiss is a Postdoctoral Scientist currently working on host-to-pathogen interactions of SARS-CoV-2 and its variants. Previously, Silvia studied mucus hyperproduction in the respiratory tract during their PhD. Silvia has also conducted research on the Interferon-Stimulated Gene Factor 3 and nanoscale particles for reducing water pollution. Silvia has interned at the Red Cross Blood Services and the Nepal Orthopaedic Hospital Kathmandu. Silvia holds a PhD, MS, and BSc in Biochemistry, Molecular Biomedicine, and Molecular Biosciences respectively.
