Manuel Kraus serves as a Consultant in Paediatric Orthopaedics at the University Children's Hospital of Basel since April 2019. Previously, Manuel worked as a Clinical and Research Fellow in Paediatric Orthopaedics at the Women's and Children's Hospital Adelaide from January 2018 to December 2018, and held various roles including Management in Clinic Operations for Paediatric Surgery and Orthopaedics, and Consultant Paediatric Orthopaedics at the University Children's Hospital of Basel from January 2015 to December 2017. Early training included positions as Orthopaedics/Trauma Registrar across multiple institutions, and a General Surgery Resident at the Healthcare Center Fricktal. Manuel started medical training with internships in paediatrics, general surgery, and general medicine after earning a Doctor of Medicine degree from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz in 2007, following completion of Abitur at Albert-Schweitzer-Gymnasium Kaiserslautern.
