PhD in "Composite materials for civil constructions", Maria Antonietta Aiello has been full professor of Construction Techniques at the University of Salento since 2011.
She was President of the teaching council of the three-year and master's degree courses in Civil Engineering and member of the Board of the Department of Innovation Engineering.
You are a member of the teaching staff of the research doctorate in "Engineering of materials, structures and nanotechnology" and head of the Laboratory of Construction Techniques.
He carries out intense research mainly on concrete structures built with innovative materials and techniques, on the diagnosis and consolidation of existing structures in reinforced concrete and masonry, on the seismic vulnerability of existing structures in reinforced concrete and masonry and of non-structural elements, on materials green and sustainability in structural design.
She is chair of the technical committee RILEM - International union of laboratories and experts in construction materials, systems and structures and member of FIB - Fédération internationale du Béton, of ASTM International - American society for testing and materials international and of AICAP - Italian reinforced concrete association and prestressed.
He is also a member of the steering committee of ACI – American concrete institute-Italy chapter and a member of ACI International.
She is delegate of the Puglia area for the CTE-College of building industrialization technicians.
Expert member of the Superior Council of Public Works and member of CNR working groups for the drafting of design guidelines with innovative materials, she has been and is responsible for various structural engineering research projects, member of the scientific committee or organizer of conferences national and international and coordinator of workshops and seminars in the sector.
