Maria Vittoria Mazzamuto currently serves as an Assistant Research Scientist at the Haub School of Environment and Natural Resources at the University of Wyoming since July 2021 and holds a position as a University Lecturer at Università degli Studi dell'Insubria since 2019, teaching a master program on General Ecology and Ecosystem Functions. Previous roles include Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Arizona (2020 - July 2021) and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Insubria (2016 - 2020), along with a PhD from the same institution focused on competition mechanisms between invasive alien and native species. Early career experiences include internships and positions as a wildlife technician and assistant biologist, contributing to projects involving mammal carnivore communities and the European wildcat population. Maria Vittoria Mazzamuto holds multiple degrees in biodiversity, environment quality, and nature conservation from Università degli Studi di Catania and Università degli Studi dell'Insubria, as well as a background in music from Istituto Musicale "Vincenzo Bellini."
