Gabriel Santiago, Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, is an Assistant Professor at Universidade Federal do ABC since February 2017, with a publication record averaging five papers per year since 2019. Research focuses on microscopy image analysis of spheroids, computer tomography image segmentation, and biological tissue modeling using ultrasound images, employing computer vision and machine learning techniques. Gabriel has developed undergraduate courses in Biomedical Engineering and serves on the Biomedical Engineering Educational Board. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Electrical Engineer at Universidade Estadual de Campinas, where a national ultrasound platform was developed, and as a Senior Systems Analyst at Fundação Zerbini, focusing on magnetic resonance image analysis software. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. from Escola Politécnica da USP and a Master of Engineering from Universidade Estadual de Campinas, complemented by a degree in Electrical Engineering from PUC Minas.
