About the Job
This is a full-time job unlike any other.
You’ll work directly with the co-founder of Universal Yums to successfully launch our new products in-market. This is a job that requires a “jack-of-all-trades” skill set: to be successful, you’ll have to bounce from talking to store owners to setting up our Amazon ads account. Your (and the co-founder’s) goal is to create the most-compelling products as quickly as possible and build their initial path to success before putting the Company’s full growth engine behind it.
Could a product get more fun than Universal Yums? Each month, we send a box of snacks and candies from a different country each month to our thousands (and thousands) of customers. One amazing, well-loved product down, countless more fun, clever, and beautifully designed products to go!
Job Responsibilities
- Identify retail partners for new products. Seek feedback from these partners on our initial product prototypes.
- Sell finished products into new retail partners. Use feedback from retail partners and/or in-store checks to improve results for all parties.
- Set up our Amazon product pages, drive reviews to listings, and monitor customer satisfaction and sales velocity to tweak our product development plans for Amazon.
- Build a launch plan for each new brand we launch, using social media influencers, affiliate links, and media partnerships to generate buzz and excitement.
- Organically build excitement around new brands using Reddit, Tiktok, and other discovery platforms.
- Develop social media content for new brands, engaging with customers to mine valuable insight on how to improve and scale the product offering.
- Partner cross-functionally with our Marketing & Creative departments to launch new brands on established marketing channels such as Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, and Email.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience working in an office environment and directly interfacing with senior executives.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Avid user of at least one of the following social media platforms: Tiktok, Reddit, Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, Twitter
Additional qualifications which are helpful but not required are:
- Experience working at a start-up
- Experience in the food and beverage, retail, or CPG space
- Experience identifying, pitching products to, and negotiating contract terms with new and/or established retail partners
Location
- Hybrid work arrangement requiring a mix of on-site, remote, and field work
