Shelby McCarty has a diverse work experience across various industries. In 2016, they started working as a Barista at Starbucks, where they gained customer service and communication skills. From 2018 to 2019, they worked as a Server at Outback Steakhouse. In 2020, Shelby was a Peggy Browning Fellow at SHEET METAL WORKERS LOCAL UNION NO. 19, gaining experience in labor law. Shelby also worked as a Staff Editor at the Rutgers Journal of Law and Religion from August 2020 to January 2021. In 2021, Shelby worked as a Program Analyst at Life Cycle Engineering. Currently, they are employed as a Human Resources Administrator at Universal Technical Resource Services, Inc. (UTRS) starting from May 2022.
