Ben Parker has a diverse work experience. Ben started their career as a Research Assistant at Carleton College, where they designed and implemented a new longitudinal database for Senior Surveys. Ben also applied non-standard statistical methods for data analysis. Ben then worked as a Research and Development Analyst at Progressive Insurance, where they identified a data error in a credit model and monitored monthly loss performance.
After that, Ben joined Carnegie Mellon University as a Research Assistant, where they analyzed cardiac surgery payment data and assessed hospital competition and the impact of hospital mergers. Ben later worked as an Independent Consultant at MM4Q Healthcare Consulting, where they learned about state healthcare and used Artificial Intelligence methodologies to help employers and state agencies lower healthcare costs.
Ben also had experience in the non-profit sector. Ben worked as a Project Leader at Transparency International, determining the feasibility of constructing risk assessment and early warning systems for government corruption. At FINCA International, they worked as a Project Leader, assessing information loss and value in CRM tools and implementing methodologies for survey evaluation.
In the public sector, Ben served in various roles at U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, including Chief of Program Analysis and Evaluation and PA&E Team Lead. Ben oversaw the development of data-driven resource requirement models and evaluated the effectiveness of immigration enforcement policies.
Most recently, Ben served as the Director of Strategy and Insight at Universal Service Administrative Co., where they utilized their skills in strategic planning and analysis.
Throughout their career, Ben has demonstrated expertise in data analysis, program evaluation, and strategic planning across various industries and sectors.
Ben Parker obtained a Master of Science degree in Public Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University from 2007 to 2009. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations at Carleton College from 2001 to 2005.
