Devraj Sanyal is the Chairman and CEO of Universal Music Group for India and South Asia, with a tenure beginning in June 2011, and also serves as SVP of Strategy for the Africa, Middle East, and Asia region. Sanyal has a diverse background in the entertainment and marketing sectors, having held significant roles such as MD & CEO for Universal Music Group in the region and CEO of Percept Sports & Entertainment. Additional board memberships include the Indian Performing Right Society Limited, the Indian Music Industry, and PPL India. Sanyal's earlier experience includes leadership positions at Percept D'Mark, 360 Degrees Times of India, and Baccarose India, with an educational foundation in Statistics and Econometrics from St. Xavier's College.
