Michelle Thiffeault is an experienced underwriting professional with a robust background in personal lines insurance. Currently serving as an Underwriter at Universal North America since September 2017, Michelle is responsible for implementing underwriting strategies and managing risk reviews across all states. Prior experience includes a tenure at Esurance from 2005 to 2017, where Michelle held roles from Underwriting Analyst to Underwriting Supervisor, overseeing teams, providing performance evaluations, and maintaining subject matter expertise in premium adequacy. Earlier experience includes a position as Senior Underwriter at Mercury Insurance and as a Provisional Engineer at MCI Worldcom. Michelle holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from California State University-Sacramento and an Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies from American River College.
