Kristin Tassin, PhD, currently serves as an Upper School History Teacher at Benjamin Franklin High School and an Online Educator for World History at Universal Education. With extensive experience in teaching and curriculum development, Kristin has redesigned courses in Middle Eastern Studies, World History, and AP Human Geography while fostering partnerships with institutions like Tulane University. Additionally, Kristin contributes as a Long-Form Content Writer for Study.com and as a member of the Book Review Committee for the Middle East Outreach Council. An AP Reader for The College Board, Kristin has scored various AP history essays since 2014. Previous teaching positions include Upper School Social Studies Teacher at the Episcopal School of Acadiana and history teacher roles at The Buckley School, Episcopal High School, and Isidore Newman School. Kristin holds a PhD in History from The University of Texas at Austin, along with several advanced degrees in related fields from prestigious institutions.
