Fred Chin has a strong work experience in the chemicals and coatings industry. Fred started their career at Proctor and Gamble in 1977 as a Team Production Manager, where they worked until 1979. In the same year, they became the President of Universal Chemicals and Coatings and later also took on the role of President at Universial Chemical & Coatings, INC-UNICHEM.

Fred Chin completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 1975. Fred then pursued a Master's degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Marketing from the Gies College of Business at the same university from 1975 to 1977.
