Konrad Cop

Technology Lead at United Robots

Konrad Cop has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of robotics and artificial intelligence. Konrad has worked as a Technology Lead at United Robots since December 2020. Prior to that, they served as an External Expert at Platforma Przemysłu Przyszłości from November 2020. Konrad also worked as a Researcher at the Technical University Munich from March 2020 to November 2020, where they focused on exploring the potential of AI in robotic perception and solving challenging manipulation tasks. Konrad has contributed to fundamental research with applicability to real-life industrial problems.

Before joining the Technical University Munich, Konrad was a Systems Engineer at LENZE from September 2017 to February 2020. Here, they explored and implemented various aspects of Industry 4.0, specifically focusing on connectivity and AI. Konrad also worked on smart software architectures and standardization of interfaces to increase the level of autonomy of production machines.

In 2016, Konrad gained research experience as a Research Student at CSIRO, where they conducted research on LiDAR-based robotic perception. Konrad concluded their time at CSIRO by completing a thesis on "Efficient Global Localisation Using LiDAR Range and Intensity Information". Additionally, Konrad worked as a Research Internship at VELTRU in the same year, where they focused on system identification, modelling of dynamics, control of Delta Robots, and industrial software development.

Overall, Konrad Cop has a strong background in robotics, AI, and industrial automation, with experience in both research and industry settings.

Konrad Cop began their education in 2011 at Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Control Engineering and Robotics. Konrad completed their undergraduate studies in 2015. Following this, they enrolled at ETH Zürich in 2015 and obtained a Master of Science degree in Robotics, Systems, and Control in 2017.
