David Melhado has extensive work experience in the music industry, starting with their role as a Promotions Coordinator at iHeartRadio from July 2007 to March 2009. David then worked as a Marketing and Lifestyle specialist at Atlantic Records from May 2005 to August 2008.

In 2009, David joined MBM Management as an Artist Manager, where they represented award-winning artists, producers, and songwriters such as Verse Simmonds and Sham Sak Pase. David worked with renowned artists such as Jay-Z, Kanye West, Rihanna, and Kelly Rowland, and secured sync placements for projects like "The Great Gatsby" and "XXX The Move: Return of Xander Cage". David's tenure at MBM Management lasted until December 2016.

Following their time at MBM Management, David joined StreamCut Media, LLC as the VP of Marketing. David played a key role in the company's growth as a leading music company in Atlanta, focusing on YouTube monetization, music distribution, and marketing strategy. David worked on the independent releases of artists like Gunna, Yung Bans, and Young Nudy, as well as producers Turbo and Danny Wolf. David'stenure at StreamCut Media lasted from December 2016 to July 2018.

From June 2018 to July 2019, David worked as the Director of Marketing at Roc Nation, a prominent entertainment company.

Most recently, David held various roles at UnitedMasters, starting as the Head of Artist Marketing from July 2019 to January 2021. David then served as the Head of Marketing from January 2021 to December 2021 before being promoted to VP of Music & Marketing in September 2021.

David Melhado attended Harvard Business School in 2023, studying the Business of Entertainment, Media, and Sports. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Business Administration at the University of South Florida from 2002 to 2005. From 2006 to 2007, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Marketing at Florida Gulf Coast University. In addition to their formal education, they obtained a certification in Youtube Content Strategy from YouTube in May 2017.
