Katherine Velazquez has extensive experience in educational and community service roles. Currently serving as a Teacher in Residence at Achievement First since August 2018, Katherine previously contributed to the United Way of Lake County as an Americorps Vista since August 2017. Additional experience includes working as a Tutor at Great Oaks Charter Schools from June 2016 to June 2017 and a Student Worker in CCSU Student Affairs from October 2012 to May 2016, where responsibilities included organizing files, handling communications, and assisting with events such as New Student Orientation. Katherine holds a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Central Connecticut State University, obtained in 2016.
