Nia Sargeant has worked in a variety of roles since 2013. Nia began their career as an Interlibrary Student Assistant at Nazareth College, followed by a Media Production Student Worker role at the same institution. In 2017, they worked as a Temporary Technical Service Representative for Heartland School Solutions, a Barista for Brue Coffee, a Summer Intern for Jazz 90.1, and a Sales Consultant for Ruby-Gordon Home. In 2019, they held roles as a Customer Service Representative for David's Bridal, a Sales Associate for BoxLunch, and a Temporary Data Entry Clerk for AP Professionals of Rochester. Nia is currently employed as an IT Associate and Donor Choice Associate for United Way of Greater Rochester and the Finger Lakes.

Nia Sargeant began their educational journey at Hempstead High School, which they attended from 2009 to 2013. Nia then attended Nazareth College from 2013 to 2017, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Music Business. Nia is currently enrolled at Nazareth College and is expected to complete a Master of Music in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy by 2022.
