Barbara Sipe currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the United Way of Greater Richmond & Petersburg, a position held since June 2023. Previously, Barbara Sipe was the President & CEO of NextUp RVA from November 2013 to June 2023, where the initiative focused on improving Out-Of-School Time programs for Richmond Public School's middle school students through collaboration with various community stakeholders. Earlier in Barbara Sipe’s career, a role as Director of Corporate Relations at United Way involved managing relationships with global corporate partners to support critical community needs. Barbara Sipe's tenure at the United Way of Greater Richmond & Petersburg also included serving as Vice President of Community Impact from July 2001 to March 2013. Education includes a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, completed in 2001.
