Katherine Fitzwater has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in marketing and communications. Katherine is currently the Vice President of Marketing & Communications at United Way of Central Florida. Previously, they worked as a Senior Account Executive and Account Executive at Curious Jane, where they developed and managed strategic multi-platform marketing campaigns for regional and national brands. Katherine also served as the Senior Director of Communications at Tennis For Tumors, an Assistant at WBS Interiors, and a Marketing Intern at Third Wing Business Strategies, LLC. Additionally, Katherine has held positions as a YLakeland Blogger at Lakeland Economic Development Council, as well as in marketing and PR for the Florida Ice Cream Festival at Eventrics. Katherine has also contributed as an Online Contributor for Lucky Magazine and worked as a Student Assistant at the University of Florida Athletic Association. Early in their career, Katherine interned at Madden Brand Agency, where they conducted research, organized information from focus groups, and participated in creative meetings.
Katherine Fitzwater completed their high school education at All Saints' Academy from 2003 to 2008, earning a High School Diploma. Katherine then pursued higher education at the University of Florida from 2009 to 2012, where they graduated with a degree in Advertising. Their field of study was Communication, Journalism, and Related Programs. In addition to their formal education, Katherine obtained certification in Google AdWords Fundamentals from Google in March 2018.
