Gregory Hurst

Principal Mathematician - Human Organ Design at United Therapeutics

Gregory Hurst is an accomplished mathematician and technical committee member with extensive experience in algorithm development and mathematical content management. Currently serving as a Principal Mathematician at United Therapeutics Corporation since August 2018, Gregory focuses on creating algorithms for designing a 3D printable lung for human transplant. Gregory has also held significant roles at Wolfram, including Senior Mathematician and Math Content Manager for Wolfram Alpha, where contributions included developing mathematical content and enhancing computational geometry functionalities. Prior experience includes teaching calculus at Purdue University and a trading internship at Gelber Group LLC. Gregory holds a Master of Science in Mathematics from Purdue University and two undergraduate degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
