Jon Podany has a diverse work experience in the sports industry, starting with their current position as the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at the United States Golf Association (USGA) since 2021. Prior to that, they were a Partner at The Brandr Group (TBG) from 2019 to 2021, where they specialized in brand management, marketing, and licensing in the sports industry.
Before joining TBG, Jon served as the Chief Executive Officer & President of Arnold Palmer Enterprises, Inc. from 2018 to 2019. In this role, they oversaw multiple businesses, including marquee events and global licensing for Arnold Palmer.
From 2010 to 2018, Jon worked with the LPGA, initially as the Chief Marketing Officer and later as the Chief Commercial Officer. During their tenure, they significantly grew the tournament schedule, increased player prize money, expanded TV coverage, and boosted overall revenues.
Prior to their time at the LPGA, Jon served in various roles at the PGA TOUR from 1995 to 2010. These included Senior Vice President positions in Business Development and Brand Development & Marketing Services, as well as Vice President of Business Development. During this period, they played a key role in securing major sponsorship relationships and driving significant revenue for the PGA TOUR.
Before entering the sports industry, Jon worked at Procter & Gamble as a Brand Manager, overseeing brands such as Pert Plus and Safeguard Soap.
