Mike Cully has had the rare opportunity to make his passion his profession for more than 30 years. Being a hands-on owner has given Mike a unique understanding of quality and service. As a result, he believes in exceeding customer expectations, and he does it by always being accessible and personally going out of his way to solve customers' problems. Mike learned integrity and work ethic from his father, William Cully, an entrepreneur who purchased UPG in 1981. Mike graduated from Slippery Rock University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, then worked in the glass business on the West Coast for a few years. He then returned home to join his father and brother at United Plate Glass in 1983, eventually taking over as President in 2003. As UPG has undergone growth and change throughout the years, one thing has remained constant - Mike's dedication to the company his family has built and the customers they serve. From those simple beginnings, years of hard work and risk taking under Mike's leadership has transformed UPG into one of the premier independent glass distributors on the East Coast.
