Muya Moses

Senior Security Officer at United Nations Office at Nairobi

Muya Moses has extensive work experience in the security field. Muya began their career as a police officer at GSU-N Coy 41 Platoon in 1998, where they served until 1999. Muya then worked as a police officer and weapon instructor at Kenya Police/GSU Training School from 1999 to 2003. After that, Muya joined the National Police Service/Presidential Escort Unit as an Inspector of Police from 2003 to 2008. Muya later joined Unon SSS as a Security Officer from 2008 to 2011, before being promoted to Senior Security Officer/Investigations at UN SSS from 2011 to 2016. Currently, Muya holds the position of Senior Security Officer at the United Nations Office at Nairobi.

Muya Moses has a diverse educational background. Muya attended Igeprise High School from 1992 to 1995 and obtained a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE). In 1997 and 1998, they studied Criminology and Law Enforcement at Kenya Police College, focusing on subjects such as Criminal Procedure code, Police Law, Penal code, and PPT. Later, from 2002 to 2005, Muya Moses pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Public Administration at the University of Nairobi. Muya furthered their education at the same university, completing a Master of Arts degree in Crisis/Emergency/Disaster Management from 2005 to 2007.
