Josphat Ngura

Human Resource Partner, Staff Benefits & Entitlements at United Nations Office at Nairobi

Josphat Ngura has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations. Josphat is currently working as a Human Resource Partner for Staff Pay and Benefits at the United Nations Office at Nairobi, a position they started in 2022.

Prior to this, Josphat served as the Human Resource and Administration Manager at the Federation of Women Lawyers in Kenya (FIDA-Kenya) from May 2018 to January 2022. In this role, they collaborated closely with the Senior Management Team to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce. Josphat also handled various administrative and program support operations, including procurement and ICT support.

Before joining FIDA-Kenya, Josphat worked at CARE as a Human Resource Officer from April 2016 to May 2018. Their responsibilities included implementing and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, as well as updating job requirements and descriptions for all positions within the organization.

Josphat's earlier experience includes working as a Human Resource Assistant at the Defence Forces Canteen Organization (DEFCO) from February 2015 to April 2016. During this time, they also pursued further certification and completed the Certified Public Secretary (CPS) program, specializing in Corporate Governance and Company Secretarial Practice.

In 2015, Josphat obtained additional certifications, including the Certified Secretary (K) qualification from The Institute of Certified Secretaries, as well as a Full Membership in the Institute Of Human Resource Management.

Josphat's educational journey continued with a Higher Diploma in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, which they completed in 2019 at the College Of Human Resource Management. Josphat later pursued a Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) designation from the same institution in 2021.

Currently, Josphat is enrolled at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology pursuing a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Human Resources Management, which is expected to be completed in 2023.
