Charles Wetherill is a seasoned investment specialist with extensive experience in sustainable finance and international development. Currently serving as a Senior Investment Specialist at the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) since May 2022, Charles previously held roles such as Head of Origination at SunFunder and Sustainable Finance Advisor at the Trade and Development Bank. Charles's impressive background includes a significant tenure at the Nordic Development Fund, where over $80 million in new investments and initiatives were managed. Previous positions also include Director of Business Development at NIRAS International Consulting and Senior Investment Officer at the African Development Bank. Charles holds an MBA from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and master's degrees in International Relations and Finance from Johns Hopkins SAIS, complemented by a BA in Anthropology and Political Science from Stanford University.
