Dimitri Gordine has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Dimitri began their career as a Mining Engineer at the Institute of Comprehensive Exploitation of Mineral Resources Russian Academy of Sciences in 1982 and worked there until 1991. In 1998, they joined ARMINES as the Head of Rock Mechanics Laboratory and held that position until 2009. Dimitri then moved to Orano, where they served as a Senior Mining Expert from 2008 to 2011. In 2011, they joined Transalloys as the Director of the Department of Mining Project and worked there until 2017. Most recently, they have been associated with United Manganese of Kalahari (Pty) Ltd, where they first served as the Acting Chief Executive Officer from August 2017 to February 2018 before transitioning to the role of Chief Technology Officer.

Dimitri Gordine began their education in 1977 at Moscow State Mining University (MSMU), where they pursued a degree in Mining Engineering. Dimitri successfully completed their undergraduate studies in 1982.

Afterward, they enrolled at Mines Paris in 1993 and pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Mining Engineering and Economics. Dimitri dedicated four years to their doctoral studies, successfully completing them in 1997.

In 1997, Gordine embarked on a Post Doctoral Position at Université Laval, specializing in Mining Engineering. Dimitri spent a year in this position, which marked the end of their formal education journey as provided in the available information.
