Imtiaz Ahmad currently holds the position of Manager Audit at United Energy Group Limited, where since October 2019, Imtiaz has been leading Cost Recovery Audits for Iraq Assets. Prior experience includes serving as Deputy Manager Finance & Accounting at PetroChina Halfaya FZ LLC from July 2016 to October 2019, and previously as Section Head Corporate Insurance & Tax for the same company from August 2010 to June 2016, specifically in the Halfaya Contract Area in Iraq. Earlier roles include Manager Taxation and Financial Accounting at Tethyan Copper Company Pakistan (Pvt.) Ltd. and Consultant Finance & Tax Planning at BGP International. Imtiaz began a career in taxation and transaction advisory services at Grant Thornton International Ltd. Educational qualifications comprise a finalist degree in Accounting, Finance & Taxation from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan, a Master's degree in Economics from the University of the Punjab, and an Associate degree in Management Accounting from the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan.
