Evangelos Papathomas has a diverse work experience in various roles related to cloud engineering and machine learning. Evangelos is currently working as a Cloud Engineer at Unit8 since November 2022.

Prior to that, they worked as a Cloud DevOps Engineer at NET2GRID from July 2021 to October 2022. In this role, they were involved in designing, building, and testing infrastructure, developing automation scripts and CLIs, and designing, developing, and testing APIs.

Before joining NET2GRID, Evangelos worked as a Machine Learning Research Assistant at the Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH) from November 2020 to June 2021. During their time there, they worked on an Artificial Intelligence oriented research project focused on health monitoring. Evangelos'sresponsibilities included designing scientific procedures and writing research papers. Evangelos utilized programming languages and tools such as Python, TensorFlow, Keras, NumPy, Pandas, and scikit-learn.

In July to September 2020, Evangelos worked as a Cloud DevOps Engineer at Narratologies. Evangelos was responsible for building infrastructure, designing and developing APIs, and migrating the official website to AWS.

Evangelos Papathomas completed their Master of Engineering degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) from 2014 to 2020. In addition to their academic qualifications, they have obtained various certifications including AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in April 2023 and AWS Certified Developer - Associate from AWS in April 2022.
