Brian Funderburke has extensive law enforcement experience with the Union County Sheriff's Office, beginning as a Deputy Sheriff and progressing to the role of Sergeant, while also serving as a Detective and Detention Officer. With a career spanning from August 2006 to the present, Brian’s leadership capabilities were further developed through the Management Development Program at the North Carolina Justice Academy. Brian holds an Associate's degree in Criminal Justice and Corrections from Stanly Community College and has completed various relevant certifications, including Basic Law Enforcement Certification and Detention Officer Certification. Prior experience includes working at the Anson County Sheriff's Office as a Detention Officer.
